School of Humanities
  The School of Humanities is one of Xi'an Siyuan University's first schools which have been permitted to offer four-year undergraduate programs, and it is also qualified by the Ministry of Education to offer joint educational programs through cooperation with overseas universities.

  The School of Humanities divides the four years of students' application-oriented education into three periods, that is, one year's personality building, two years' training to help students master professional skills, and one more year's practice in using professional skills. In this way, the School of Humanities has developed a special mode of training students that major in arts and humanity programs. Educational platforms can be formed and educational resources can be enriched though international cooperation, cooperation with businesses, cooperation with other colleges and universities, and cooperation with local communities, and students are well prepared through both classroom teaching and practical training in businesses. Complete procedures are followed here with the focus on helping students to develop working skills and professional competence, and students are supposed to take a series of courses that consist of the campus platform courses, subject platform courses, core professional courses, and employment-oriented courses.

  Competitive teaching and research teams are organized by taking advantage of high-level academic platforms including the Southeast Asia Studies Center, the Overseas Chinese Students and Modern China Studies Center, the Cultural Creation Industry Research and Development Center, the Bai Lu Academy, the Chen Zhongshi Literature Museum, the Zilan Lecture Forum, and the Center of Li Bai's Wine Culture Studies.

  To meet the requirements of employment, professional training courses to cultivate specialized talents are designed by taking advantage of the bases of teaching and practice at home and abroad and the joint campus-business bases of production, learning and academic studies, and the average employment rate on graduation from all the programs in this school has been above 95 percent during the last six years.
